Hi again,

I'm playing with PPaint 7.1c, and I'm wondering how to get the menu with the AREXX scripts. There are some scripts in PPaint's REXX folder that could help me a lot, especially AnimToFrames.pprx.

I feel like a complete Amiga nitwit again after so many years.

Cool, thanks!

I just executed the AnimToFrames script, but now I'm wondering where the frames have been saved, if they have been saved.

Latest free version is 7.1. It comes with the anim GIF macros.

you should have got some file requesters, 1st to choose source anim
2nd requesterr where you can choose a folder or drive/volume and the basename of the image-sequence.

if you want convert an anim to gif anim try:

load an iff animation or craete your anim/frames

1) Arexx Script -> AnimGif - define anim-brush
push f9 & f10 (will disable the menu bar and toolbox )
select the whole anim canvas with the mouse, select from x0/y0 -> x1/y1 with the mouse
push f9 & f10 again
2) Arexx Script -> AnimGif - Save Anim-brush
next some requester where you can change differnt things, timing/transparency or stuff
and finaly a filename for the gif anim.

Ah, ok. I thought it would save the frames of the simple animation I made in PPaint. Didn't see any requesters when I executed the script using the Crown icon.

I'll try again tomorrow. My head is spinning from all the information right now.

Geez you guys have short memories! We had a thread whining about this only a mere 6 months ago.

Here are the links again to the Cloanto site, which has provided PPaint V7.1c as a free d/l for many years now as they were the original developer/publisher.

still the easiest way IMHO is using ffmpeg:
ffmpeg -i source_iff_anim.iff target_gif_anim.gif
ffmpeg -i source_iff_anim.iff -vf scale=160:100 target_gif_anim.gif

last one will resize while converting to gif anim

I've bought PPaint 7.3 one week ago from http://www.a-eon.com with PayPal. Never received product, no reply to emails and forms, nothing...
My download area is empty.

EDIT:
someone has read this msg, because EON woke up and just sent me an email. Problem solved.

- trashed path name at the bottom in the volume list: http://pasteboard.co/3tikFS5gH.jpg (OK with PPaint 7.1c)

You might want to report bugs on Amigans.net if you haven't already done so since the current maintainer is more likely to see it there.

That is not a volume list, that's a directory listing. Maybe you have a file there with a funny name?

Is there some multi OS discount? I have purchased the OS3x version and may want to consider the OS4.1 version now that I have OS4.1 classic running on my A4000.
