also try to install pullups on motherboard and test with other power supply. Kickstart EProm should be 120ns max. 105ns's costs double the price, but have also small fail rate, where 150ns chips are quite often defective Last edited by 8 Bit Dreams; 16 October 2017 at 20:35. |

I am stable at 50 MHz now with the old firmware, no issues. But those resistor networks can be troublesome on occasion, you are right about that.
My EPROM is also 120ns and I will see about adding the resistor packs to the motherboard, although I guess if I can go without, it's better, since that helps me troubleshoot for other people who also don't have the resistor pack installed. |

yellow screen without FPU installed is caused by too high resistence thru R3. In Your case R3 is 47k, this resistor drops VCC voltage too much, CPUSENSE signal goes low, and the system thinks there is an FPU present, and fails to boot. So if i understand correctly, there should be something in the range between 4k7 and 10k, i haven't tried these values yet, so it's not quaranteed to work

Same here, i have 1.5Mb/sec, it's depending from CF Cart i think, another way to speed it up - is to copy kickstart into RAM

Yes, use CPU FASTROM. I built PeteAU's trapdoor expansion which gives me 1 MB Chip ram and 1.5 SLOW ram, so I can afford to lose 512K. The trade-off is worth it.

Hi all, i have one of the blank Rev 3 TF530 pcb's. I was planning to build it for my CDTV but i've not found any information on whether it will A fit or B work so thought i'd pop a question up and ask if anyone knows if i can use it with the CDTV?
Also, i have an 8mb ram expansion on the diagnostic port of my cdtv, if i get the TF530 working will the ram on it work alongside the 8mb or will i need to remove that? Thanks |

Unlikely to work/fit in the CDTV. The RAM will definitely not work.
