CF CompactFlash Cards in the CD32 + SX-1

Is this possible!? I've spent the last day or so trying to get this setup to work with abolsutely no luck.

I have one of the CF IDE adapters which works a treat on my 600/1200, so taking a pre exisiting setup of ClassicWB for my a1200 onto my CD32 does nothing.

The CD32 will either refuse to turn on or not recognise the card at all.
HDToolbox won't find anything either. I have tried another CF Card without an Amiga setup on, with no luck whatsoever either.

Is there something I am missing, or does the CD32 SX-1 not support CompactFlash cards via the adapter?

Crap.... I think I know what's happened. Even the original Harddrive I had in the SX-1 is refusing to load up now. The power won't even switch on now.

I think I managed to plug in the CF card adapter upside down... Would this burn out part of the board?

If so, is there any chance of repair?

Maybe a bit obvious, but have you tried another PSU?

I have an SX1 with 8 MB simm and a CF-IDE adapter. When using the original CD32 PSU, it won't see the CF-card. Since I switched to a 200W PC PSU I'm having no more problems.

Thanks for the advice Mozzerfan. I'll have to get hold of one of those Molex -> CD32 adapters from AmigaKit.

Out of the blue, I just managed to get it to boot up again *phew*
Gonna try install ClassicWB again now and start from scratch
