question after Workbench 1.3 loads up

on an emulated amiga 500, "free memory" states as usually within the range of:

683xxx to 685xxx

if i intend on purchasing a "real" a500 advertised as
"in good working order"

& the dealer tells me free memory is at 895304 or say around 872xxx

should i be concerned something is faulty?

no, perhaps on your emulated amiga u run progs on WBStartup drawer that eat memory? perhaps some visual candy?

installed WinUAE 1.4.1 with kick1.3, inserted WB1.3 into df0, then simply clicked "start"

after loading i get: 864056 free memory

Different workbench disk? Modified workbench disk? Number of extra floppy drives? 1MB chip or 0.5M chip +0.5 slow? etc...

Perhaps even virus-infected WB disk.

Anyway, it looks ok, it has "slow" memory expansion (or 1MB chip RAM) It does not actually confirm if the Amiga is 100% working or not. But at least it has working floppy drive which is always a good thing
