Crashing when changing screenmodes (PPC/OS4.1)

Hi,

I'm running OS4.1 Final Edition. Changing from a 1024x768 Picasso IV 16bit screen to any other screen or even refreshing the same screen when changing GUI themes, it crashes.

WinUAE 3.1.0b6 (latest quae-emu.dll) and WinUAE 3.0 (quae-emu.dll at time of release).

Tried using windowed mode on 1st monitor before changing screenmodes to no avail.

Dump file and log files attached.

Is there anything I can do on my end? I don't mind running any tools that might be needed.

Also, whenever it crashes, I have to alt-tab to another window, then press the Windows key in order to get the mouse back. I'm unable to click on the "OK" button in the crash window. I need to shut WinUAE down with the Task Manager.

Attach dump from latest beta to confirm it.

Only way is for someone to donate 4.1FE. For various reasons I refuse to buy it myself = money donations won't help in this situation

You still dont have 4.1FE? Thats too bad because you cant improve the emulation of it faster... Cant we donate money for it and then cant the local friend of yours buy it for you? I think, it will be easier and faster way than buy it and send it to you...

Crash dump attached from WinUAE 3.1.0 b6. Let me know if you need the text logs again from this version.

There's no other information I can capture for you at my end with a special build or something?

I become extremely uninterested (and in some situations actively annoyed) if it is only about OS4. Debugging it is at least 100x times more annoying than m68k software, especially when it is actively (not so sure about that but something like that..) under development. Real improvements require OS developer help and more, it won't be a hobby anymore.

I expect that OS41FE CD simply appears some day without me doing anything else than writing this message (and another message with my address). Sorry.

Did you take a look at that last crash dump file, Toni? No further debugging stuff I could do on my end to help you out?

@Toni. That's misunderstanding, i think. I've only tried to help with funding / donating of OS4FE for you that you can reproduce our issues faster / better. I don't mean OS developement itself. Sorry, maybe it's my english...

Most of remaining "problems" or "missing features" (which really aren't if comparing with real CyberStorm setup) practically require work and help from OS developers.

This bug does not but also probably is one the remaining "real" bugs.

Why isn't there something I can run on my end that captures the information you need that I can send you?

Sometimes it is possible but it is also really painfully slow debugging method.

Thanks to "famous anonymous user", I now have OS41FE which allowed me to fix this bug quite quickly. Next beta will be released in 1-2 days.
