Is this mostly a name correction update, or has it more to offer?

As usual, due to the many dupes CLR mame reports endless missing files.

Thank god I discovered Romvault to sort out all this shit.

Still miss a few files, but it's a damn sight better than What CLR made out.

Surely someone at TOSEC should sort out the dupes.

Hey Ian, you mean the same files appearing twice or more in the same dat, right?
Yeah i should have checked it better, unfortunately that happens in current dats a bit but hopefully will be gone in the next time

I dont think , that there are files twice in the same dat.
There are a few twice in all dats, have fixed this meanwhile.

Nah PandMonium, I haven't noticed those ones, as CLR does put two copies if it's in the same dat, but usually I move everything to a new folder then rebuild all the sets again. Usually by the time I have got to the commodore sets I have many missing files despite nothing changing in those particular dats.

It's not a problem now I've found RomVault though so maybe that should be mentioned on the TOSEC site as the preferred method to sort roms?

It's very strange- A lot of games are just removed from this DAT set.

Just the first example- all versions of "Dragon Cave" are removed completely.
Also XenoStar, etc... hundreds of games.

Are you sure they weren't just moved to the 'Games - Public Domain' DAT?

Edit : Updated my DATs here and indeed they are in 'Public Domain' now.

You mean http://www.romvault.com/ ? Works fine here. Should I download something for you and forward it to the zone?

It's not perfect, set you rom dir to whatever folder holds your tosec folder and let it work it's magic.

GordonJ has added the tosec dats to his site and they follow the same structure that the make folder bat file does, so if you don't have things in that exact structure it may not find anything.

It has a lot of development opportunities. Like setting custom inout/output folders. The annoying requester when a corrupt zip appears.. Why not just have a setting to move everything to specified corrupt zips folder etc..
