Heya urbanbadger74,

Welcome to EAB

That screenshot is from Batman Returns, not Batman The Movie...

Anyway, you can find the image on the EAB File Server under either:
  • Commodore_Amiga/CD/In_TOSEC_Collection/Amiga-ISO/Homebrew/Compilations/[ISO]
  • Commodore_Amiga/TOSEC/TOSEC-ISO (2018-07-27)/Amiga CD32/Homebrew/Compilations/[BIN]

...not really; the "CD32-444 (2004-11)(frostwork).zip" contains Batman Returns; so not what you're after

How does CD32 cd's handle "illegal" characters ?
As you probably know, Batman The Movie WHD version doesn't work unless extracted to a native Amiga filesystem.

Best person to ask is amigajay, he has done hundreds of conversions. Maybe he could do a movie compilation and that would encourage him to do Batman?

Ask him here?

Batman The Movie already runs on CD32 with CD32load, available for instance on this compilation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w7lxaulb2e...ISOCD.zip?dl=0

Note that Amigajay creates the CDs & the compilations, the cover but doesn't forget to credit the right people, the ones who code the whdload slave, whdload, cd32load, custom CD32 fix etc...

Sorry for my ignorance. I just enjoy the Amiga and sometime I dont realise all the people who make it possible. Thanks to you and everyone else who do! Without you guys we would be struggling with 30 year floppies!

Amigajay BTW you always credit me as JTOD

Someone (maybe Akira IIRC) initiated a CD32Load compatibility list here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...4LI/edit#gid=0

If it's green, it's runnable & useable fully with pad controls, and probably on RUGCD see above link

Batman on that CD is using the old faulty v1.3 slave.

That brings me back to this question:

As you probably know, Batman The Movie WHD version doesn't work unless extracted to a native Amiga filesystem.
If it's not file system compatible the unpublished v1.4 slave would probably be the better choice for inclusion on CD.

You're right. Now I remember having added ____ at the end of BATMAN file & manually patched the slave so it works & can be stored on windows filesystem.

But the second stage isn't working so update needed.

1.5 works too

Quote:
Speaking of the imager, the files are saved with their original names
(old imager added spaces at the end) but I did not spend any time to
make them Windows compatible! It's an Amiga game and if you play it using
an emulator you should be able to install the game in your emulated
environment!
but Sting took the time to rename the problematic "BATMAN " file to "BATMAN". Other files are okay on windows. Just trailing spaces are an issue here. Spaces inside the filenames work.
