Angry Will this lame cut-down version of Terratec 512i work with G-Rex4000D ???

I got ebay boned. instead of this: a full and normal 512i card, I got the one below... it sucks, and the seller m-ware is emailed. I think it is a shipping error , but we'll see... do u think it will work? currently I don't have an AOS installed on my 4000, and until some scsi equipmet arrives, I cannot tell if it will work or not... any info?

Sure doesn't look like a Terratec 512i to me
What a lame-ass seller

What does it say on the card?
Does it even has a FM801 chip?

no , it is a 512i , most likely a value edition... it is FM801 based, and the terratec driver finds is as a 512i, but this is not what it is pictured! damn!
the seller is great, I got tons of old hw from there, but this time I got boned. lol

the SB128 I had on my 1200+Z4 Mediator supported the dual output... lol

Let me know what happens. I've been trying to find this very same sound card to use with the new Mediator I've just bought for the A4000T. I think I came across the same auction, but I didn't want to risk buying from an overseas Ebay power seller.

Hello,

we have luck: I have also a TT801-QD.

Maybe we have sent you the false item.
We ship the TT801-QD immediately. Please do not send back the first item, its yours now.

best regards - Freundliche Grüße aus Schwerin/Germany

@Keropi
Wonderful! Can you give me their email address or Ebay ID please? I'm hoping that they might have another Terratec 512i to sell me.

Thanks Keropi!

I ended up getting lucky and persuading a German Ebayer to sell me a brand new card outside of Germany for 10 EUR:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=160024661019

Airmail will cost me 30 EUR, but I expected that and am not fussed since it's a brand new card
