How to play - Millennium 2.2 - AKA my very first baby steps in the game
Had a great need for a space strategy tonight, so tried Millennium 2.2 and what a gem it is!
I kinda figured what the various icons do, the commands, the screens, time advance, managed to run resource gathering, researched and build all levels of the Power Plant (*mumble* lousy MkIII level, lol), but still can't figure what the other things do nor what do I do with them I know, I know, I really should RTFM, but any first steps/hints from you guys who played and finished this fine game? |

If were is a trained version, I'm sure Shoonay would have found it (or I if that matters ). I can understand that Shoonay asks for some hints on how to play the game, since these space strategy games tend to be quite time consuming and it may turn out that you are heading the wrong way after several hours of gaming So best of luck with finding someone who has played the game before Shoonay *gets his notepad and pencil ready*

I know what I'm suppose to do, what's my point, I know I'm missing the names of the "things" to research - I'll try that in teh FAQ, but... what should I do in this game?
Building everything and trying to do everything with it isn't exactly what I want from a strategy game... I need the first few steps "outside" my own colony... Should I send something to some nearest (non-earth) planet? |

actually millenium is pretty linear. you just research everything, defend your base, and stuff. I think at some point you need some minerals which don't exist on the moon to build latest MKs. Send probes to planets to survey for these minerals. Build colonies on these places and stuff.
After you're done with millenium, you should try the sequel deuteros too it was one of the first amiga games I've finished |

Yes, thanks cozey, that's my plan exactly - to finish the big trio of space strategies (Millenium, Deuteros and K240) in the near few weeks (months? ).
Back in the days I've only had Supremacy, which was way too easy, and Reunion, which was way too adventurous and time-based |

It's next on my list, will leave it until I finish this one - sounds like a perfect reason to finish this game
