Amiga 1200 + HP parallel port Cd-rom

Hi

I just bought an Amiga 1200 and i remembered that i have an old HP parallel port
cd-rom burner somewhere

. Is it possible to use it with the 1200 or do i have to get a squirrel interface and a scsi cdrom?

You may be lucky enough to find drivers for it... try Aminet.

No, it won´t work !

The Amiga Par Port is kind of different to the PeCe one ... someone made a cable to use a Par Zip Drive but thats all, you will not be able to use a Par CD with an Amiga I´m affraid

The parallel port Zip driver is a horrible bodge that works at a fraction of the speed it should do. Really not worth the effort.

ok, i suspected that it was unusable, thanks for confirming that though. I'll start
looking for a proper scsi drive.
