Please help: blizzard mk-IV '030 problem
Hi all, just a quick question for anyone who may be able to help. I have a second hand blizzard mk-IV '030 with 32mb fast ram. Seems to work fine with most things and speeds up things nicely, gloom deluxe works beutiful nearly full screen and settlers is a lot faster and detects the processor as '030 and also the fast ram.
I am having problems with alien breed 3d though, it will let me load it and go into the first level of the game but then will just lock up and the green power light flashes on and off and then it comes up with software failure press right mouse button to continue. It will sometimes let me play for a couple of minutes in the game I even once managed to complete the first level, but then once it loaded up the next level it just crashed again, so it happens at various times. I have put a a500 psu for an extra bit of power compared to the slimline one that came with my 1200 but it still crashes. I am at a loss to know what the problem is as I have even left the trapdoor off, its just really confusing why this one game creates such a problem when everything else seems to work flawlessly, does anyone have any ideas/solutions? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks in advance. |

With A500 + psu you shouldn't have problem. I use it with A1200 + 2,5" HD 1,4 GB + Blizzard 1230IV with 16MB installed.
If the game is not corrupted in some files, I would check the RAM with program like MemTest from Aminet. |
