Dreamcast: the cheap option

Hello,

during one of my eBay combing session, I had this idea: find a cheap Dreamcast, find the 5 or 10 most acclaimed games released for it and ... stop.

Budget: 40 EUR, shipping included.

For that cold winter afternoon with your friends.

Challenge accepted? :-)

it would cost you 40 Eur just to send you my DC and collection from the UK!!

1x Dreamcast, 2 controllers(1x mem card, 2 x VM units), 15 original games(inc shenmu), 90 "backups".

Still play on my dreamcast on occasion, fantastic system and more than overlooked compared to similar machines from that era.

Hope you find your bargain!!

You should easily be able to get a PAL dreamcast + SCART cable + 1 controller + 10 CDR for €40 delivered.

Dreamcast is a pretty good system. I have one of the older ones which allowed backups to be played. I own a few of the major RPGs, like Grandia 2 & Skies of Arcadia. Rest are backups. I mainly bought the DC for the RPGS / Adventure games.

they can all play backups, method was found to boot all games, altho I still have a few games that need a boot disk. Just wish the broadband adaptor was cheap and more readily available, there is a way to hook up your machine to the net via a dial up modem connected to your PC but it's a pain to get going.

I got my DC and found it better than a PS2 to be fair, shame Sega gave it up.
