I've already heard a few users say that they are going to do this very thing

It might even persuade yours truly to get a real Amiga again.

Reading this makes me truly happy, because that's exactly what we really hope to achieve. Amigas should be USED, not stored away or thrown in the trash.

And yes, the ACA1230-56Mhz design runs completely stable now and passes all tests.

Yuuuju! I've made the preordering! Am I the first? (it took me an hour to get into)... My wife says I can only open it for Christmas...

Just a question: Coudn't the first ones be signed by Jens? That would be great!

EDIT: I was so nervous trying to buy it as when you are waiting the final seconds to bid on Ebay for a great-cheap thing, do you know what I mean?

My greatest trouble now is how to make the same question for a fourth time without looking like an absolute pest but not going totally unnoticed as in the third...

I can't speak for the guys but the thermal tests must have gone ok or they wouldn't be selling it.

I asked that too after seeing the "don't even think about overclocking" message; that was many posts ago...(post 400)

Does any of them run hot? Is it recommended a fan over them? (Well, I'm the one with a B1260 with the newest mask and with two fans with only 66Mhz...). Although will wait for the 56Mhz for my other virgin Amiga....

Retro Gamer and other computer games magazines should be doing something in their magazines about this new hardware.

I've been in another forum... and I liked this post:

My mouse is hovering over the "add to cart" button for an ACA 1230/56.. aaargh.. must resist... purchasing ....
So I subscribe that I would like the first sales could be signed by Jens if he has a free hand or a foot to make it...

EDIT: Don't take it the wrong way, it isn't I want it to resell it more expensive, it's admiration!

Very cool and exciting project. the coolest amiga cpu expansions yet! Love the jokes silkscreened and white pcb is UBER HOT..

Having said this i'll probably order the 030@28 for my 1d1 a1200. my question is there is NO MMU right? So that leaves out a lot of producivity stuff like Vista Pro, Photogenics and such.. dont they all need MMU?

And dont tell me use uae as i need the RGB video output for projects so it has to be on the real amiga.

I only want to leave a comment here:
"Most users ever online was 563, 17 November 2010 at 12:09"
That was two days ago... I do believe IMHO the new accelerators have something to do with that... And that's great!

And sorry for posting too much... I'm very very happy!!

No. Photogenics doesn't require an FPU either, AFAIK.

Both the A600 and 56MHz A1200 cards have a full '030 with MMU.

Must say I'm really looking forward to the A600 card, which will blow away the (unreliable) M-TEC I'm currently using. PCMCIA friendly, 8x the memory, a ton of nice features, and better RAM performance.

Yknow Im surprised how little love the 16 bit computers get in Retro Gamer magazine. I still havent seen any issues devoted to the Atari ST or the Amiga (although Im probably wrong, I only started getting the mag a year ago). Still I always wonder why in the Back to the Eighties and Back to the Nineties thats theres scant mention of the Amiga or Atari ST. They cover the consoles and the 8bit computers more.

I do love reading the magazine despite that (Ive also shelled out on a subscription).

I think if some similar cards would come 10-15 years ago, it would save a lot of Amigas from trashing and a lot of people from leaving amiga scene.
