Documentary - Rise of the Videogame

There is interesting documentary about history of video games being shown on Discovery Channel - so far two out of five episodes have been aired. Today I watched the first episode and I like it. The first episode covers time from beginning of videogames until Tetris came out.
If you are interested you can download it from torrents.

If you have newsgroup (Usenet) access and know what you're doing, then this link is better (unless you've paid for a premium account):

Just select the files, create the NZB, and load it into a program like GrabIt.

Why would anyone hate torrents? Level One (first ep.) is 25% underway in 8 minutes. Download uTorrent, follow one of the many tutorials if you don't know how to set up the ports etc., and google for <whatever> +torrent.

It's hard to see how anything could be better than torrent - downloading at 256KBps, it uses 1-3% of the CPU time.

There is no need for torrent tutorials, it's easy to catch. I don't have a time lock of 60-100 minutes, my IP is dynamic.

Torrent are good for fast spreading, nothing more. The most torrents dies after 2-3 month, while you can find stuff in emule which it's older than 2 years. Especially annoying is this long seeding to reach a specific ratio.

I prefer Webhoster: They are available 24/7, anonym (for now) and you don't need to register anywhere.

But anyway, everbody have preferences.

The first one was basically about why we should thank warfare for our computer games (which is pretty much true), then i watched Nolan Bushnell saying that they "wanted to create a New World Order based on love"...

No ta.
