I gotta say I echo the last few comments, really amazing the focus and attention to detail you put into your work here.

I've found myself coming back a few times now and listening to the tunes.

Really awesome and inspiring work.

Here is a short video I made of a few selected bits of the game:

[ Show youtube player ]

A few fun game facts:
  • Colors: 32
  • Frame rate: 25/50 depending on computer speed
  • Lines of code: 21456 (C) 7811 (ASM)
  • Ram usage: 500468 bytes (chip) 453024 bytes (other)
  • Disk usage: 739908 (floppy version) 850740 (hard drive version)
  • Tools used: Bebbo's gcc 6 compiler with my vasm output modifications, vasm, vlink
  • Mod player: P6112
  • First repo commit: Apr 4, 2017

Thanks for people who helped along the way:
  • Jojo073: This is Jojo's game. Concept, game design, all the artwork and project manager.
  • Estrayk: Such great music
  • Bebbo: Without his compiler work, this game would not be finished. Bebbo spent many hours running this game making compiler optimisations and fixing compiler bugs using this game as a benchmark!
  • Phx: vasm/vlink are amazing. The SolidGold source code is a great resource for seeing how a real Amiga game is put together.

As well as the people that tested the game and provided feedback on the demo.

Just played it on my Amiga. Died on stage 3.

Is it 25 fps on a vanilla 68k ? Because it felt 50 fps. Very smooth, very nice looking, sound is great. I do have some small issues with gameplay but, frankly, it's an astonishing work from you guys. Amiga is very weak with scrolling beat'em ups, and you guys have made a very solid game which I believe back at the time would get some good reviews on magazines.

Good job, congrats on releasing the game and thank you for let us play it

I think there is a problem with the .info file. Try starting it with the CLI or copy a .info file from another program.

I am sure Amiga Wave will release an updated archive with a fixed .info file soon.

Did you finish the game on hard or easy?

Easy mode.

This file starts automatically with an A1200 configuration with FS-UAE.
To load the game from the HARD DRIVES icon use ADD DIRECTORY.
The directory is the unpacked file.
