4Gb SCSI drive problem
I have tried to install a Seagate ST34520N hard drive on my A1200/Squirrel. Now, problem is, when I try to prep the drive, SquirrelHDTools crashes when it tried to identify the drive's parameters . Soooo, I assume I have to enter all the relevent data in by hand. Cool, BUT, I don't know what these bits of data are. I've searched the Seagate site for help etc but can't find the number of blocks per track or the blocks per cylinder.
I know the Amiga has a problem with drives larger than 4 Gb (and this is a 4.5Gb drive) AND it doesn't like >2Gb partitions.... So, I'd be happy with two 1.8 Gb partitions. Anybody help? |

Thanks dude.
I've seen the manual but the info HDtools is asking for just isn't there - well, I couldn't find it, and I have spent several frustrating hours searching fo it. You've saved me hours of work, many thanks again. |
