Well, it worked OK before with those settings, as most games do, so I assumed that it was a bug with the current WinUAE version. If however that was accidental then I have to use "Match A500 speed" (or whatever) for this game.

Because there is still confusion: 68020 CE problems, whdload or not: I am usually interested. "too fast" 68020+ problems: I wouldn't care less.

(for example impossamole and friends whdload issue was chipset problem, not CPU)

one other issue (may be cpu speed issue - but not sure) ive noticed is with Doomsound.library used by adoom/doomattack and novacoders recent Dott port. The music is a broken mess when set to maintain chipset/cpu fast as possible. The game it self runs fine/fast.

If Jit is enabled then all is good, no issue noticed. Or, if finegrain_cpu_speed=512 is enabled then the music works fine, but game engine is running at 1-2 fps.

not a show stopper as with jit enabled its all ok, but may be worth looking at in the future. Its quite possibe the library it self is doing something wrong when cpu is too fast.

Yup. Would be a very reasonable improvement.
That aside ... it's NOT your fault. This is one of the most ancient labels I can think of ... even WinUAE 0.8.x had it worded the "A500 way." (not sure about 0.7 branch though )

I reported the same thing: if you run from WB, multiple times (2-3), games like Leander WHD and others, very often they freeze with a black screen...
If I disable sound emulation in WUAE this NEVER happens.

That version indeed fixes the problem! WHDLoad games never hang with black screen syndrome! That's the best XMas gift for me... Thanks a lot Toni!!
