Games you used to be good at but now... not so good!
I've just been replaying Sensible World of Soccer after it arrived in the post recently. I cannot score a single goal and I don't think I can muster the 'twichiness' necessary to do so again. Amazing the reflexes I must have had as a teenager!
How about you lot? |

I'm definitely more rubbish at Speedball 2 than I was 20 years ago. Your not on your own there!

I still play pretty well with swos... It's more shufflepuck cafe which is hard for me, it needs more reflexs.

I used to be a competitive game player in my youth, especially with multi player stuff, gravity power, speed ball 2, lords of chaos, the lotus series and countless others..
These days I`m billy no mates so my skills have faded somewhat. Can still kick ass on turrican and robocod though |

Swos you could easily score from the center circle. I used to do it all the time. I wouldn't even dare try now. I'd probably kick my own goal lol.

hehehe Must rememeber that when I'm well into retirement and need a positive spin on all that twitching
I can still clear Batman the Movie on one life so I'm not a total waste of space. My seven year old doesn't like to play the Amiga games because they're so hard compared to what she's used to play on phones etc. But she loves watching Soccer Kid, Batman and Sensible Soccer and often demands that I play them. I'm more than happy to oblige of course |

For me it is Robocop. Not the Amiga version, but the coin op arcade. Me and a friend of mine would be able to complete the game on 1 quarter. I tried mame and could not even get off the first level.

Sensible soccer.
Played it last weekend. Uncontrollable. I used to be an ace at it. |

In most arcade games you can set difficulty level in service mode, just try different settings.

I could finish dragon's lair 2 timewarp blindfolded. Just by hearing the sounds of the game. Aaaah those were the days. When you just had too much time on your hands.

Can't think of a particular game but I'm certainly not as good at games in general as I was when I was younger. I get confused with all the buttons and I have even less patience than I used to.

Back in the early 90's I remember finishing Operation Stealth on my own, I would sit there stuck on puzzles for ages until I figured it out myself. Gone are those days, No one has patience. |

It's always tempting to go online and search for help when you're stuck in a game. But it's much less rewarding if you do not complete it on your own.

I'd definitely agree with SWOS. That or I was always terrible at it.
