Searching for MOD renditions of real rock songs.

Hey everyone. I've really been looking forward to this new Amiga game coming called Tracker Hero. It's a music game that uses MODs and is played in the same way as Guitar Hero, including having guitar controller support. After buying myself a wireless guitar controller to use for the game, I decided to give Guitar Hero on the PS2 a try while I wait for Tracker Hero to come out for the Amiga. I came across this song by the band Metallica called "One" which sounded very familiar to me, as I have a MOD of it in my Eagleplayer playlist. To me it seems almost identical, minus the lyrics, and it got me thinking if there were many more MOD versions of rock songs that we could collect together to use in Tracker Hero.

I'm not sure where I got my one.mod from, but I have searched a little bit on Aminet and found a song by the band U2 called "Angel of Harlem" - http://aminet.net/package/mods/rock/angel_of_harle

I wonder, does anyone else have any MODs of real rock songs that might be suitable to play in Tracker Hero? Sure, I think it's cool that the game lets you play any mod at all, but using a guitar controller to play chip tunes and techno music feels a bit weird, and I think it'd be cool if more of the songs in the game actually sounded like guitar songs.

Can anyone help?

I know there is one by ACDC called Thunderstruck. It is listed around the net as a remix but I remembered it being the real song when I had it. Maybe a simple remix.

I seem to remember Dr Awesome covering some Genesis songs years ago, doubt they'll be difficult to track down (pardon the pun).

There is a great mix of Fletch film sound track by Nightlight.

http://files.exotica.org.uk/modland/...ght/fletch.mod

It would be a very hard track to play, but if you are an expert you'd love it.

With a bass & lead it would be good for 2 player too.

Just zoned some Iron Maiden Mods if they'd be of any use.

Thanks Twiggy, these mods are great! Some of them sound like they'll be really hard to play in Tracker Hero, so I'm going to have to get heaps of practice in.
