Unhappy A1200 Colour problem (black has become blue)

First of all id like to say hello to everyone

Ive recently bought a couple of amigas one of which is a A1200 with a 140mb internal HD.

ive noticed that when i turn on the amiga there is a blue screen for about 10 seconds (i understand that when a blue screen flashes there is a problem with part of the chipset)

however this screen seems to be waiting for the hd to boot then im brought into workbench which itself has a slight blue tinted background but lighter then the screen that appeared on boot.

now in workbench black is how it should be....black. and from what i can make out all the other colours are being represented ok.

but when i load a game or anything any black being displayed is now the same blue as blue screen i get when i boot the amiga.

i was wondering if any of you peeps have seen this before or if you know anything i can do to fix it.

things i have tried so far with no luck

+ Disconnected the internal harddrive
+ Removed case and mobo casing and blown away any dust that had formed
+ plugged an amiga 500 modulator into the 1200 and used that for rf out (same blue colour problem appears)

id appreciate any info at all on this one as its driving me bonkers!
