I prefer mame32 with the nice point-n-click stuff. I used to use regular mame when I had a slower PC.

Yup, MAME32 for me also

As people have said, they are both Windows versions but MAME32 has a GUI (no need for a front end as you would with MAME)...

Use Mame Plus, the best version. And of course Mame Plus Plus for the brilliant kaillera client, this allows netplay gaming.

i've used mame32 more because of a random choice than because a test of the other versions. and of course mame32 is one of them tweaks that gets updated sooner after the main program is released.
but it would be nice to have a clear comparison between all the choices, and i have not yet found one around.

Are you serious?

There are MAME rom links everywhere on the internet, even planetemu.

What I do think is bad though is sites selling DVDs full of complete roms / chds

Anyway, whatever... Removed

It is the same deal with posting links to kickstart roms here at EAB. Totally illegal, unless in the case of MAME you actually own the original arcade machines. Thanks for removing the links.
