cannot RNC/propack a given file
I'm trying to apply propack to a file and it locks up/never ends.
I also tried a windows version, same thing... Attached file. This is an image that is originally 150k. Zipped it takes 3k ! But RNC/propack doesn't seem to manage with it. Code:
propack p d playfield_1.ppm I've also tried to change compression method (-m 2) and block size. No luck I already have RNC unpacker in my program, which works perfect. I'd like to avoid having to embed zlib in my program too... playfield_1.zip |

Works for me, I just tried ProPack 2.08 on the file and it compressed it to a 926 bytes file. Maybe you have some patches running which disturb the packer?

yeah, retried and it worked. Windows version (not propack, but some utilities that we ported to 32 bit windows some time ago) ends without creating anything, when it works for other files.
I suppose that there are 2 different problems: windows port is buggy, and the file was locked or something when I tried on WinUAE... thanks Sting & Retroplay for testing. |
