I had that for my ST, I never did quite get what you had to though, but I was young. I do remember paying £2 for it along with Kid Gloves from a dude in a council flat who just so happend to have boxes and boxes of shrink wrapped ST/Amiga games... come to think of it maybe it was not all as it seemed

A bit of a slippery question, there are demos with better routines, graphics and music but when taken as a whole there aren't that many (IMO and not including any AGA demos) that stand up to or better Enigma, some that do are:

Arte - Sanity
Desert Dreams - Kefrens
Hardwired - Silents & Crionics
Mental Hangover - Scoopex
Voyage - Razor 1911
Global Trash - Silents
Groovy - Lemon

World of Commodore - Sanity

A final Hyperbase by Tip and Mantronix (The music to enigma) is one of my favourite mods, as is Stardust Memories by Jester (The music to WoC)

Reviving an old topic, but just watched this demo...

Nice.. ;-)

In it, he (Firefox?) mentions his ray tracer, Prefect View, and an upcoming Vector game???

Any idea if those were ever released???

Hi,

Slightly OT but Enigma was the first demo I ever ran when I bought my A1500 (yes I was one of the Muppets that bought one!) It knocked me out at the time and I still love it now!!!!

Firefox was one of the musicians, Azatoth was the the guy who coded it. I've never seen the game nor the raytracer available and there are no traces whatsoever of them on the internet, most likely they were never released.

Thanx for the info!

Too bad..
Makes you wonder how many unreleased programs in varying forms of completion there are on floppies and hard disks lying around...

Equally of note is Douglas Little's Falcon demo released for STNICCC2015 which contains a friendly reference to the ray traced image of Enigma, except that it is realtime.

I also highly recommend watching his other videos about his Falcon experiments, they are mightily impressive.

And for those who wonder, yes, he is that Douglas Little.
