Playing with my bro, and a restoration labor of love.

Hey everyone. First post here. My parents bought my brother who was 9 at the time an Amiga 500 in 1990, I was just born. So for a long time it was the only computer I ever knew. When I got a bit older he would play games with me and hanging out with him playing Shadow of the Beast III , mech warriors, air strike USA, and so many others are some of my fondest memories. I've moved many times since then and taken the Amiga with me each time. It now has the kipper2k board in it and an indivision ECS . Unfortunately those mods made it not fit into the original case properly as the keyboard wouldn't clear the kipper2k. Sooooo, I've made a new case, from walnut. Hopefully this makes the Amiga long lasting and I can play it with my kid someday and of course my brother when he comes to visit. Hope you guys like it.

Nice work!

I can just imagine your kid telling his friends: "My dad's computer is so old, it's made out of wood!"

Hehe. Nice work and welcome

I see that you have the AmigaKit joystick. I'm curious about it. How does it feel, and are you happy with it?

Yea I've had it a few years. I like it alot. It's not great to hold but if you set it in your lap or on a table it stays put well. Has an arcade stick feel to it. Buttons are nice, cord is really long which is good. And the whole thing is just very solid and well made.

I much prefer that over joystick that you hold. Good to know, thanks.
