There are many, but some most memorable...
Flashback - Playing it first time, like nothing before it. I still love this game to this day, and would occasionally play it. Feature where your character reacts to walls, edges was something very cool, and occasionally I would just run it to the edge to see him stop. Lionheart - One of my favorite Amiga titles - just watching background moving in first levels was mesmerising... Funny fact - played game multiple time to end before finding on EAB that there are 2 endings and I was always getting bad ending. ![]() The Settler - Just being a King in your little kingdom - feature worth mentioning. Fact that Amiga was able to play this game (and with some extra memory - very well ![]() Civilization and Colonization - strategy just got new meaning, that even BI could not deliver. Depth of games and fact that to this day looks better than DOS version. (There was Win 3.11 version, but used to crash a lot ![]() Reunion - mix of strategy and RPG, story behind was something new and well implemented. X-Com/UFO Enemy Unknown - game that I would play for many years. Interface in that game was just something worth mentioning. HD install as well. |

I'm also going to nominate the copy protection system of Gods. Making all the monsters way too hard to kill is fiendishly brilliant.

So many great suggestions already. I have to add my vote to the Turrican 2 lightning gun, that was so much fun! Also the tunnel sections in (Super) Stardust. Great fun.
To add a few new ones: * Stretching James Pond to extremely silly lengths in James Pond 2 * The ninja/karate dude practising his moves on the Full Contact title screen * The insane size of Frontier: Elite 2 * Jumping over the logs in Lotus 2 (and probably 1 & 3 as well) * Tunnels in racing games activating the audio filter to make them sound muffled * The 'Ice Cream' shout during Speedball 2's instant replays |

Motion tracker in Xenomorph -- obviously this is a given in all games involving or inspired by the Alien franchise, but this is the first game I remember getting it right and giving the appropriate level of tension.

Alien Breed - the 'Warning, Destruction imminent' sequence. Pure tension. Honorable mention: the cool-looking laser that bounced off walls.
Lotus - being able to control the car as it zipped away at the end of a race. |

I am genuinely surprised there has never been a remake or another game that had the same model as this. Was one of the first Amiga games I played and a firm favourite. I also remember that if you ejected the disk at the right point during loading, the fantastic loading music would play forever ![]() Also I love the "Do not copy this game" subliminal speech in the opening bars of the Lotus 2 main music. |

When you made a copy in a certain way I can't remember what of Mega Lo Mania your island would blow up and you'd get called a pirate.

Regarding the Lotus 2 message, if you want to try and isolate it yourself: Grab the archive from Unexotica:
https://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Lotus_Turbo_Challenge_2 and play "mod-bootup". It is on channel 3 (so mute the others if you want to hear it clearly), #26 of position 1 of 22 (and the sample number if 31). Once you notice it, although you will not be able to hear it clearly (ie understand the words - at least I don't) when mixed with the other samples you probably won't be able to unhear it next time you listen to the whole music. |

Since we are talking of these "music" issues, there's one about Another World intro tune
If you grab the module from Unexotica and listen to it you will hear some "extra" few seconds of musics to the end of the tune respect to the tune playback during the game Always asked myself why such kind of thing ![]() |

As for Another world i have the feeling the extra music was more as a filler in case the execution slows down, or the musician did create a longer piece than needed and at the end was "adapted" - it happens often. |

I like the energy/lives system on Risky Woods.
The fact that you increase one life (starting at the minimum energy) if you complete the lines of the energy is very cool. Much better than all those games where you don't get any benefits from the extra energy if you already have the energy bar full. |
