Yep like I say it seems very bugged and needs various patches installed to be playable. I'm a lazy bugger and just like to install and run it

Ok ShapeShifter HDF back in the Zone Ive also included the PlayMate ADF
WinUae - QucikStart A1200,8mb fast,>JIT< and select "ShapeShifter support" from the Rom tab on WinUae. This is a good emulator for Mac Apps Excel................... The HDF has the Rom and OS you can copy over to your Amiga. Because the Kickstart needs patching on a real A1200 you need to run "PrepareEmul A1200" first Quote:
Ill check out SimCity 2000 later But looking at the screenshots im a little bit sceptical how well this game will run with out a graphics card. |

The RiscOS version of SC2k runs rather well,
Ok, so it's a blatant PC port... |

I've uploaded to the Zone a BinHexed version of the SimCity 2000 Collection available from The Macintosh Garden. The BinHexed (.HQX) version is a text file, so it should copy into a Macintosh formatted HDF file without losing its resource fork. Point the StuffIt Expander to the SimCity2k.SIT.HQX file and it should decompress. In case of problems with it, I have also uploaded a MacBinary archive of the BinHex 4.0 application for Macintosh. It should copy into your HDF file with CrossMAC and be extracted and ready to use if you select MacBinary Only in the CrossMAC configuration. BinHex 4.0 can be used to extract the original .SIT file from the .HQX archive, which WILL decompress properly with StuffIt Expander. (I have changed the file type and creator to ensure this.) prowler |

Hi prowler Thanks for this ill have a good look, as you know I originally tried to expand the SimCity from The Macintosh Garden and had problems with the file loosing its properties when copied form Amiga os to SS.
Im still haveing problems understanding data forks - I dont understand them but I know who to ask :Sorry this has gone way off-topic; ) |

If the BinHex_4.0.bin archive doesn't decode when you copy it to the Macintosh HDF with CrossMAC, let me know, and I'll upload a new MacBinary actually encoded using CrossMAC. If you're still having trouble understanding Macintosh forks, have a look at this post, which might clear up a few points. Don't worry, mate. It's all related to SimCity 2000 (just!). |
