Fitzsteve's CD32 Scans =D

Hey Guys!

Going through my newly aquired CD32 collection and there is quite a lot missing from HOL, it seems we have the AGA manuals for most of the games but not the little CD32 booklets that come in the jewel case.

So I'm scanning the little blighters.

Ok, so far I've scanned and will crop and upload shortly:

(All CD32 small booklets)

Disposable Hero CD32 Booklet/Manual
Gloom CD32 Booklet/Manual
Mean Arenas CD32 Booklet/Manual
The Inside of The Chaos Engine Inlay - CD32

Still to come (some of these are huge so bare with me!)

Zool 2 CD32 Booklet/Manual (Can't beleive we don't have this!)
Flink CD32 Booklet/Manual
Pinball Fantasies CD32 Booklet/Manual
Arabian Nights CD32 Booklet/Manual
Gunship 2000 (large) CD32 Booklet/Manual

I checked all the games I have and we have all the Disc and Box Scans which is great, some manuals that are missing I sadly don't have.

Anyway, off to crop part the Scanned ones now and will work on the rest over the weekend

Steve.

No probs, I say that in the FTP so guess I'm in the right place

Will do Gunship 2000 now, this is the huge one but we don't have any manual for it just yet

He he, sorry about that - its really not a good scanner, if you go to the edge it chops stuff off

Ok, need some advice on this one - Gunship 2000...

Scanner isn't big enough to scan over two pages, shall I crop out each page or leave the overscan so they can be merged later?

Gunship 2000 is done, sorry about the odd pages, they are on the curve of the spine and the manual is fixed to the sleeve. I didn't want to remove it and damage the sleeve so sadly the pages do fade away a little.

I've done the best I can with it, its on the server pages cropped and ready to go.

Phew!

Will look at the others tomorrow

(30mb file is uploading now)

Was out for the afternoon, but I'm downloading the zip right now

Edit : See what you mean now... Could you upload the uncropped version of 'Gunship_2000_CD32_Manual_07.jpg' please?

Sure, but have to re-scan it. Mrs Fitz is on the PeeCee so it will be a little later, hope thats ok?

Also, any other really bad pages? I can try holding the manual down, it helped for the controls page which I had to re-scan.

Steve.

Every odd page up to 27 is quite unreadable on the left. That's 11 pages if that's okay for you?

As explained the pages curve round hence why it drops away, I'll try them again with some pressure on the curve. Will need to employ the help of a 2nd person as Scanner is not near the PC and I'm running back and forth between scans!

Problem is the manual is fixed to the game box/sleeve.

Hopefully they come out better next time, gutted as it took ages to scan all those.

I know Wouldn't ask if it was only a minor problem, but at least two or three letters are unreadable which makes it hard to read. Thanks for doing it once again and fingers crossed it works better this time

fitzsteve, you mentioned some missing booklets. In the slim chance I have some of them, I can scan them.

Can you tell me which ?

Sorry I didn't keep a list - I crossed checked all mine against the HOL site, if you have the time it would be an awesome contribution.

@TCD, will do the odd pages later today

Ok, I'll check

As far as I can tell, what I can contribute would be Super Stardust manual, Kingpin manual, ATR manual - and perhaps a better (uncrushed) box scan.

I'll get on it
