unWHDify project, possible?...
Me was thinking lately on how cool it would be, if the WHDLoad project would support such a feature as copying the game back to the disk.
I would see it like some kind of a "backwards routine executer", that would run all the necessary install routines - from the install slave - in the backward direction... but because it's probably a bit hard if not impossible for some games, the only solution would be to write a unWHDify slave for each and every game, right?... Also, due to legal issues and stuff... nah, forget what i wrote... although i would like to see some answers here, please BTW: I know there are tools developed to do that - and probably more, but now i have only WHDLoad in mind |

Generally it would be impossible to write games back to floppy from an Amiga due to the Amiga hardware being unable to properly rewrite the original copy protection disk formats. Think about that for a minute - if an Amiga could perfectly rewrite the copy protected disks, they're not really copy protected at all are they?
CAPS is probably your best bet for one day being able to rewrite games back to floppy. You will need custom floppy controlling hardware something like a CatWeasel to enable the proper recreation of the disks. There are exceptions to this of course but why would you want to do it anyway? |

It may be the brainstorm i had again, with some stupid ideas poppin' in my mind... ...it can also be the lack of sleep, after playing all those games from the newest WHDLoad pack, for the last 24h... |
