Version 0.54 is out: www.pspuae.com

V0.54 - Speed Increase Release
- Based on e-uae 0.8.29 WIP3
- Ditched harddrive support to gain speed as I still can't get it to work with WIP3
- Removed support for serial ports to gain speed
- Several optimizations to the e-uae code primarily removing stuff that doesn't make a lot of sense
on the PSP
- Added cpu speed option - thanks to FOL
- Added profiling support
- Fixed memory issues - now allows 6MB for PSP V1.50 and 5.5MB for PSP V2.00+
- Should run using kxploit and the eloader (So V1.50 release works with all)
- Switched middle and right mouse button
- Fixed screenshot
- only displays leds for 2 drives as only 2 are enabled (will not accept 4 drives as I have disabled the
last 2 for performance reasons)
- disabled debugging support (can be enabled again it doesnt really make a performance hit)
- only possible to select valid memory configurations (up to 2 Mb chip, 1.5 Mb bogo and 2.5Mb fast)
- Fixed keyboard mappings
- when mapping keyboard keys to psp buttons the behaviour is to keep the key down until the psp
button is released.
- removed 2 drives from the disk menu
- added msg box for when no kickstart rom is present and also for when changing kickstart roms
while using PSPUAE
- added msg box for when PSPUAE runs out of memory instead of crashing (makes it very hard to crash PSPUAE now)
- added KickStart 2.04 & 2.05 to the Rom selection menu

You can access the onscreen keyboard via the square button then you use the arrows to press whatever button you want screenshot below ..obviously its no A500 full keyboard

And just incase anyone wanted to see what EmuChicken`s background is

It works on my PC, and I can watch movies and listen to music on my PSP with the 4gb, but it wont diplay the icons for any other file, like pictures, iso's, homebrew... all icons are just showed as corrupted.... on a psp forum they say sony is crap and sandisk is the best. So my 4gb ms is 100% working, bit the PSP is sensitive to 4gb sony memory sticks.

on Psphacks it says sony ones work fine just slower than their sandisk counterparts.

You might need to configure the keys in the options... ie square for keyboard or whatever... Id rather get rid of that ghastly save screenshot button on select that I keep pressing by accident, switch that for the keyboard

hehe, yeah I did that backdrop hehe! :-P

with sound, its still slowish .. for the time being... some games however are quite playable.
For the most part you need to set the framerate to 2 or 3 for a playable setting that works pretty well... but the best way is just to disable sound

EmuChicken is correct, we are still working on the FAME C and ME versions, but I wouldnt hold my breath on FAME C, after numerous testing, the compatability sucks, and its hit and miss on the speed increases with certain stuff.

As for ME, its looking promising, if we can move stuff functions over to the ME CPU, then that would give a better speed increase over FAME C, as less functions will be running on the MAIN CPU, leaving it to do the hard work, .

For people having problems running Games, you might want to pop on over to pspuae.com, as myself and horace have been making states (with all disks loading into RAM) which come with their own configs, much easier, and games load faster. You need to be Registered thought to download the states.

Ric and Thinkp are the 1`s working on it mainly (I just help out where can and ask`s alot of questions, ).

Which firmware is the best for emulating and running ISO:s ?

Should I go for the 2.80->2.71->1.5 and emulating 3.03

Or get the hacked 3.03 called 3.03 OE-b ?

You're gonna get hung for that question in here lol

sounds like you know what you want though skyldig... any is fine, work out the pluses/ negatives... personally Ive gone for 303OEB as its just more tidier- no messing with devhook and my homebrew directories have been cleaned up (one folder instead of two)
