the first game you ever booted on an Amiga
I was wondering :-)
Mine was Sublogic's The Jet on my A500. Cracked by Bamiga Sector One & The Kent Team. Just the cracktro blew me away. Then the game, coming from C64 it was just incredible! The sound and everything. Used to C64 cracktros it was cool to see the same thing on 16bit ;-) |

I don't remember exactly which game I saw first on the Amiga. Lotus was one of the ones that certainly made an impression. Maybe also Giana Sisters. |

"Shadow of the Beast III" on A1000, best graphics, sound and music I heard from the computer, WOW.
But, first game I saw on Amiga was "Space Ace" in a computer store, first WOW! |

The first game i booted up was from the screen gems pack. Im not sure which first. Days of thunder, nightbreed, back to the future(loved that game) and shadow of the beast 2( played it to death) D paint 2 got alot of use too...very fond memories there. |

Man that's a tough one, If I had to guess it was probably either Dennis the Menace or Oscar which both came with the A1200 Desktop Dynamite pack.

Was either;
Days of Thunder Back to the Future II Nightbreed Shadow of the Beast II when I got my Screengems A500 pack... I remember the floppy disk label of Days of Thunder getting stuck in the drive (had to pull it out with a pair of pliers ) Not the greatest bunch of games (well apart from SOTBII which had gorgeous music - I still get all nostalgic with the SOTBII intro music)... |

Marble Madness on Amiga 1000 in 1986. Played it with a Colecovision trackball.
Wow, that was awesome! 2nd game was Dragon's Lair. Double awesome! 3rd game was Defender of the Crown. Triple awesome! Still have all of them (and the Amiga 1000 and trackball) Last edited by amadama; 27 August 2014 at 05:53. |

I saw the original "Defender of the Crown" running in a music shop in Papakura back in the day, the computer was seen as so specialist it wasn't in a normal computer shop.
One of my friends had an Amiga 500 and the first game he showed me was F/A-18 Interceptor. Comparing that to Ace on the C64 was just amazing. The first proper game I booted up myself my an Amiga was either Rainbow Islands or Stunt Car Racer on my cousin's A500. |

Hmm, first game I booted up was either FA 18 Interceptor or Battlechess. First Amiga game I ever saw was probably Blood Money.

Or maybe Captain Planet...? Can't remember Definitely not one of the good games you guys had! |

I also remember seeing the Stardust Demo in the shop and was impressed with the graphics and sound. Quite a step up from what I was used to on the C64.

I think the first was either Addams Family or James Pond 2. In fact I didnt know how to reboot, I couldnt figure out why I couldnt get into these df0:ndos disks in workbench. So I spent a few days playing missle command bevore I figured it out..

I remember that when i got my amiga, i got no game with it and thus i was playing with the Commodore Basic demo.
Then i got Great Courts, i was amazed by the sound of this game as if it was a real tennis match. Second game was Shadow of the Beast ! |

Duckula II and Commodore Basic demo may not be the best way to discover Amiga.
