PS4 stick not being detected

Hi all. (First post!)

No matter what, my PS4 is not being detected by UAE. I have DS4 installed and running. It works in RetroArch, LaunchBox, KEGs etc.

It takes a lot for me to "give up" and ask for him. I feel like I tried anything.

I'm sure you guys run into this all the time. Any ideas?

I use the stick via USB.

Running on Win 10 Pro 64.

Thanks!

Have you tried DS4 Windows?

I guess winuae tries to access it as USB HID device which isn't going to work because it isn't proper USB input device.

-norawhid command line parameter probably fixes it.

I can get it to detect DualShock4 (as XBOX 360 For Windows) via DS4Windows 2.0.3.
However, WinUAE (4.3.0 x64) takes approx 14 seconds to start for some reason and when I load a config it takes approx 10 seconds more to load that.
It works though, I can remap the pad and test is also successful.
Games play as they should with the remapped controls.

Something must be "off" though, only WinUAE has this issue in the emulators I've tested so far.

Logs attached, just in case.

It is almost guaranteed to be bad driver or hardware when using raw input. WinUAE uses rawinput to read USB HID devices which is rarely used by others (even if it, at least technically, have better latency)

You can try -nodirectinput or -norawhid command line parameters.

Creating crash dump file while it is hung can be used to find which module/driver causes the hang and what WinUAE tried to do. (Task manager -> right click winuae.exe -> create dump file)

Done, the dump is upped the zone.
I tried -nodirectinput and -norawhid but it makes no difference.

If it's only an issue when connected via USB, it's not that big of a deal, for me at least.
All I have to do is replace the (shoddy) GSR BT dongles I have with ones supported by DS4Windows to have it working wireless.

Nothing beats direct connection to the hardware, any thing else just allows lag even if its minute..

I use my wired Xbox360 with all my emulators and its pretty damn good bu comparing my C64 emu to playing on the real thing and you can feel the improved responsiveness.

Dongles are evil

I've used my wireless 360 controllers on both Win 7 and Manjaro with absolutely no issues at all.
No lag, even if it's there it's not noticable.

Dump is waiting in GUI main loop (unexpected place but nothing wrong).

When I said latency, I meant some few millisecond difference only.
