Roll eyes (sarcastic) Python 1 joystick

Hi, can you use a python 1 joystick on the computers of today. I have a 9 pin plug at the back of my computer but nothing happens when i plug it in. I would consider selling it if any body wants one.

Yikes, the 9-pin plug on your PC is the serial port it's definitely not meant to have a joystick plugged into it. To use an Amiga/C64/Atari/Sega type joystick with a PC you need an adapter that allows it to connect to either the USB or Parallel ports unfortunately commercial examples are extremely rare as most retro-computing enthusiasts are capable of DIY projects like this.

Wink

Thanks oddbod You are right its a serial port I`ll not plug it in there then. I found ppjoy software, which is supposed to allow you to connect to a new computer, but someone has now made me an offer, so I think I will just sell it. Cheers for answering me
