Neo Geo AES ROM upgrade

Howdy, I know there are some NeoGeo enthusiast here, so Ill check here first..

For a sensible ROM "upgrade" one needs the official Unibios, but desoldering the original and soldering the new Unibios directly onto the mobo doesn't seem too clever...So socket first, right..

Anyhoo, seems to me (havent actually opened the AES up yet) its a regular "off the shelf" 40-pin ROM (or is it?), so here comes the question;
Will the 40-pin sockets AmiKit is selling for Amiga ROMs work fine here or is there something more "I should know about"...? Anyone actually tried?

I had my AES upgraded to Unibios 4 by TheCorfiot (on here and on Amibay), maybe message him?

Yes, you can use the same socket if it has enough pins.
