I remember getting an A600 back in 1992 and picking up a copy of the Christmas edition of Amiga Format. It had a Christmassy version of Cannon Fodder on it called Canon Soccer. I played it more than the actual game 'cos it was soooo much fun! I dumped it onto the HDD and kept it for ages.
That's it! I'm gonna go and track it down!!! |

Demos, modules and games of the seasonal variety are a must for me during this time. Xmas lemmings (cover disk versions) are a ritual for me...also really like to boot up Lotus II and Speedball II as they were both Christmas gifts given to me many moons ago.

Walker is the game, that you enjoy correctly ONLY if you have 2mb chip RAM and very good and very strong amplifier

Holiday Lemmings.
Although Cannon Fodder and Mega Lo Mania both remind me of Christmas, they would both need a complete set of wintery levels to be truely xmasy As suggest above though, i might play a bit of Robocod this year. |

The Official Father Christmas C64
[ Show youtube player ] Collect the parts to Santa's sleigh and take them outside to be assembled, but avoid the pesky elves who will nick the parts off you and rehide them somewhere in your house! Brilliant! Also, the music is like someone cheese-grating your brain as you play! |

Cannon Soccer always reminds me of Christmas, they gave it away on a cool neon green disk with a Christmas issue of Amiga Format

Going back to James Pond, I've just found myself rather impressed by the C64 version of the sequel. I even had to check it was genuine! Though 8-bit gaming was long behind me by then, I've got no recollection of it even receiving a port of the second game and it's certainly the first I've seen of it.
[ Show youtube player ] Good job, you little 8-bit you! A fine topic on your part too, Bamiga. I've had a fun few minutes following related links on YouTube. Thank you. |
