arrrgh dog damnit! floop[y disk drive
so pissed off. everything on my a500 is going wrong.
new problems are, I had a new replacement floppy disk drive cause the one I had just now had failed, well, it didn't fail but it did 50/50 of the time. put this new one in and nothing at all Also, let's be honest, amiga plastic is the worst quality, I snapped the drive holder sticky up bit way too easily. anyway any ideas? it's a chin one forgot the name should work |

ok who wants to give me a floppy disk drive that is 101^ garantee work for free? fed up of faffing around witih these things

oooooohright, no not on purpose.!!
I've looked at super glue details but they alot of them say dont use with oily plastics. so im gonna forget fixing up the bottom case and look for a new one. as for the floppy drive any ideas? sorry for the rage eariler on, got a cold, and before i discovered the problem i had 10 minutes until i had to go back to work (split shifts) |

lol Okay instead of me moaning. And I do apologise because I have seemed like I'm a moany little kid who just keeps asking questions over and over and doesn't give anything back lol, well i'm going to give something back now.
advice! When putting a floppydrive back in an A500, don't screw in the plastic-holder one first! Do the others first (the one's where you screw in from the back. THEN do the plastic-holder screw will save you a nasty broken heart as you hear the Snap!! sound. |

A Chinon FB-354 is the right type - an exact replacement for the original drive, assuming the original drive was one of those too, of course.
When you say 'nothing at all', doesn't the drive spin up and the drive activity led illuminate when you insert a floppy disk? |

ok this doesn't make sense, my workbench 2.05 disk now get's an error.
Read error on disk block 91? that IS IMPOSSIBLE! |

Try the disk in another computer.
Get a disk that works in another computer and try that one in yours. |
