On the Edge: the Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore

Hi:
Just want to know if there's any place I can read this book:

On the Edge: the Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore

without paying $200 for it. I don't understand how it has become so expensive...

If this thread is accurate, you can wait for a second printing.

I've heard of supply and demand, but I think that level of price is silly for a book without nekid pictures of Madona.

Having read it twice now I can say it's a brilliant book but $200 is a ripoff!

Thanks. What I'm not sure now if they are going to make a second printing, it's a new edition with more contents or it is a complete different book.

I've just found some chapters in pdf here: http://www.retrocomputacion.com/cgi-...=1226970524/23

Perhaps Amigakit could get information, as they were selling his book time ago.

Thank you very much. There all is stated clear:
Second Edition

This is the second edition of the book previously titled, "The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore." This latest edition includes 15 additional interviews, dozens of period photographs, an accurate chronological presentation and more amazing first-hand stories than ever before

I have to see if I can buy from there... No, but I will from Amazon when it'll be available. And there, the old one isn't so expensive, it's only at $170.62

This is great. You're always giving a good response and I'm wishing to have that book.

I'll be buying it as soon as I will receive my new credit card, and I want to comment here about the problem I've had today, although I don't know if it's Paypal related or not, and it's off-topic:
The bank has sent me an SMS that I'd been charged 0,01€ and that that seemed an intent of robbery. It seems that it's the method: first you're charged for a very small amount in cents, and later if they are sucessfull, you can have a great charge on your account.

So be careful if you notice such a charge.

This 2nd edition doesn't contain the 'Amiga' section as was in the 1st edition though... they are planning the 'Amiga years' into a 3rd edition... (I'm glad I waited until someone confirmed in another thread)...

Yeah, the early years are quite an interesting read I'm surprised the 2nd edition even came out as it kept getting pushed back all the time on Amazon for release.

Yes, they have been in stock for the last 2 weeks.
We have already allocated one to you, and we were waiting for the accellerators.
Now they have arrived, we can ship it all together.
