W.I.P Team 17 Collection Help Needed!

I want to start this thread as I'm having troubles with 3-4 games on the Team 17 Collection I'm putting together and I'm at a point where i need a little knowledge of programming to get these blighters to work!

Here's what i have working and the method next to it.

DONE - 29
Alien Breed cd32load22 - DONE
Alien Breed 3D AGA (CD32 files) - DONE - no cd audio....
*Alien Breed Special Edition cd32load22 - DONE
Alien Breed Story Disk cd32load22 - DONE
Alien Breed Tower Assault AGA (CD32 files) - DONE
Alien Breed II AGA (CD32 files) - DONE
All Terrain Racing (CD32 files) - DONE -- test pause when burned
Apache cd32load22 - DONE
Apidya (Whdload) - DONE
Arcade Pool AGA (CD32 files) - DONE - no cd audio....
Assassin cd32load22 - DONE
Assassin Special Edition cd32load22 - DONE
Body Blows (Whdload) - DONE
Body Blows AGA (HD files) - DONE
Body Blows Galactic AGA cd32load22 - DONE
Cardiaxx cd32load22 - DONE
*F17 Challenge cd32load22 - DONE
Full Contact cd32load22 - DONE
Kingpin AGA (CD32 files) - DONE - no cd audio....
Miami Chase cd32load22 - DONE
Overdrive cd32load22 - DONE
Project X (Whdload) - DONE
*Project X Special Edition (Whdload) - DONE
*Qwak cd32load22 - DONE
Speris Legacy AGA (CD32 files) - DONE
*Superfrog cd32load22 - DONE
Superfrog Intro (CD32 files) - DONE
Worms (CD32 files) - DONE - no cd audio....
Worms The Director's Cut AGA (HD files) - DONE

NEED SORTING - 3
Arcade Snooker AGA (HD files) - DONE - needs mouse / would prefer cd32load to work and use vm..

Ultimate Body Blows AGA (CD32 files)
- DONE - no cd audio.... working but... RUNNING SLOWER?

Super Stardust AGA (HD files) - working but... - cant change controls need spacebar.
Super Stardust CD32 not enough mem, need workaround via rad?

NOT WORKING - 1
Alien Breed 3D II AGA - not finding rad?

The Rad part is a major stumbling block for me not sure other than copying and pasting what to do, i have copied everything earok used for AB3D2 and it still doesn't work, my only guess is the diff startup sequence rad part is stopping it from working?

Any questions i will try to tell you what i have tried and what is going wrong with each...

I have a download of the disc contents below, if anyone can help in anyway to get these last few working i would be very grateful

All terrain racing works with cd32load. Pause should work too.
Funny thing: overdrive works fihe on real hwusing cd32liad but crashes on winuae!!!?

Toni if youre reading this can you test overdrive or overdrive demo on winuae? Because it crashes just wyen race begins.

Pause wasn't working with ATR with cd32load on winuae, and since the CD32 version states pause in the manual i went with that (though again pause didn't work on winuae on that version either strangely!)

Overdrive worked for me on winuae with cd32load?

Pause works fine on CD32 with CD32Load.
You gotta stick to behavior on real thing or nothing. We have discovered MANY situations where WinUAE works great but CD32 doesn't.

The fact that a game runs in WinUAE means nothing for its compatibility with real hardware, and since this is for real hardware, it shouldn't matter what happens in WinUAE.

Pause doesn't always work with cd32load, of course if the key is 'P' to pause then yes, but since the version of ATR i want to use is the CD32 version then pause is already set to 'play' which doesn't work in winuae, i guess its conflicting to already set buttons, i must try that option...

I know not everything that's works in winuae works on real hardware, but if it doesn't work to start with in winuae there is 99% chance it won't work on real hardware, so it does matter to most degrees what happens in winuae!

Why is Apidya on a Team 17 collection disc?

Well jotd above says that Overdrive works on CD32 but not on WinUAE! So you can't always know. I'm just saying that making WinUAE your default compatibility gauge leads to problems. Compatibility rate of CD32load is much higher on real hardware.

Just seen this, I'll take a crack at the last to-do list items

Re: Super Stardust, you don't need the AGA version if we can get the CD32 edition working, right?

You should be able to drop the contents of this on to your disc to get Alien Breed 3D 2 and Super Stardust working

Hi, thanks tried it but its still giving me the same errors i had about the rad file, it flashes up too quick to read what it says, but im sure its something todo with the .run part in the startup sequence?

Yep that did the trick many thanks! I never noticed AB3D2 needed a mouse on the start screen until now! oh well you need one for Arcade Snooker, they all still run on a stock CD32 so its an improvement on the last Team 17 collection, cheers Earok!

It's just for a button press, easy enough to use a regular joypad in the other port

And, no worries!

Just a couple of things:

- I forgot to mention that the TKG ISO contains three sets of save files (so there's a save for every level). If you wanted to put it on the menu three separate times for the three level sets, replace this line:

"cd iso2:tkg1"

in the radscript with iso:tkg2 etc

- Eric Schwartz wasn't entirely happy with the way that Team 17 assembled his raw animation files for the Super Frog intro, so he released an updated animation later. I should be able to give you a playable copy of the fixed animation if you'd like to include it.

I'm ok with just the plain version for the first release of the disc, maybe in an updated one other stuff can be added i.e more Worms stuff etc.

The updated animation sounds good, yeah thanks i'll like to include that to replace the one on their atm.
