Question Workbench on CD32

Are there any bootable workbench CDs for the CD32 available anywhere?
Aside from being a neat OS, Workbench is (I believe) required to run standard amiga CD software and browse amiga CDs and I havent been able to find such a CD online, or much reference to it. The closest thing I have heard of is the CDTV workbench disk. Does anyone know if (and where) this can be found as a download?

There's a cd named 'lock and load' which booted to 1.3, 2.1 or 3.0 dependant on wich kickstart you have installed. I'm pretty sure it'll run on cd32 as it uses a tool called killaga to degrade your machine and run incompatible games.
This cd boots a cdtv and an a570 without any hassle.

Yes, most Amiga Format cover CDs boot to Workbench 3.0/3.1, but it takes ages and the workbench is usually customised with garish colours and icons, from memory.

Best thing I ever did for my CD32 was get an SX32 Pro and install workbench 3.1 on the hard disk. Highly recommended!

I wouldn't have thought putting zip's of cover CDs in The Zone would be allowed if they contain Worbench distributions?

eBay. Be prepared to pay anywhere between 150-300 for one though, particularly if it's got lots of memory and a hard disk.

Even though I thought it was expensive at the time, I'm glad I got my SX32 Pro when I did. I got it brand new from Eyetech for 129!

The only problem w/ the SX32 is it makes some games incompatible.

You could buy one of the floppy disc drives that Index Information made. Have one myself and booted up WB 3.1 a month ago.

One of my friends made a bootable workbench CD for the bare CD32 to use. it loads wb with many apps like AsmOne, Eagleplayer, contains several dozens of mods, Gloom Deluxe, etc. Of course has an audio Cd player app also, and you can replace the bootCd to an other one anytime. works quite well. Do you want something like that maybe?

Totally retarded question I have here...but you'll have to forgive me as I know nothing CD32 and my unit is still in the mail...

What about creating a bootable CD with Nero or such and including a full WB3.1 file set as installed to HDD when on a normal Amiga?

My meaning: I put the files from the boot partition of an A1200 running 3.1 onto a CD whilst making it bootable when burning?

Too simple to work, I'm sure, but if it did then you could just put games into the same CD and away you go....but I'm sure it wouldn't work......please tell me it won't work so I don't waste a CD

You need to use an Amiga burning program that can inject the special CD32 'TM' code into the ISO.

But yes, making a bootable Workbench CD from HD files is pretty easy
