WinUAE & Dpaint & Resolutions

I'm trying to increase the resolution of Dpaint to get more detailed pictures.

However I can only use Low Res and Hi Res Laced.

Any other ones will cause one pixel to look like a vertical rectangle rather than a square.

I would be happy with Hi Res, excepy Laced causes movement to have horizontal scanlines which get rather annoying.

Is this a problem with WinUAE? I tried fiddling with the graphics options with no success.

I seem to remember that's how it actually was.

It is totally normal,if lowres is 320x200 and hires is 640x200 is logical that pixels are rectangular, don't you think it?

Yeah I guess

But it just looks really odd drawing with a rectangle!

I will have to live with the Hi Res Laced, unless anyone can think of a way round it.

Hi Res Laced (640x512) works perfect to me in WinUAE,I have proven it in Deluxe Paint V right now, there is no tremor unlike real Amiga.

Are you using WinUAE last version 1.4.6?

Yes I am using the latest version.

Dont get me wrong, it works. I assume Laced means interlaced. But can you see black horizontal lines whenever you move the mouse on screen, reminiscent of scanlines?

Move DblPAL from Storage/Monitors to Devs/Monitors and reboot. Then you can use DblPAL Hires No Flicker.

I don't see black horizontal lines "generally",sometimes I have seen them but they disappear right away, only it happens in some circumstances.

In some games Laced is problematic like Evil Doom but not in Deluxe Paint.
