Currently using a Squirrell SCSI with this A1200 but I have a 4 way IDE interface & a slimline CD which I am pondering on installing,
I want to see how stable it all is for a while regarding the Indivision as I think I need to secure it to LISA a lot better than just clipping it on.

Any Ideas guys.........Apart from Hot Glue???

I've never bothered to check - does Lisa get hot..?

My wife is into making cards (among other things) & maybe some glue-dots would be about perfect...
...look like little blobs of phlem. Sticky, but not unbreakable.

I Will be interested to see which path you go down when you fit your Indivision.

I think a 10mm soft drop test for the A1200 would be a good benchmark to prove the fixing method is secure.

Those glue dot's sound very interesting???? and a possible solution.

I don't believe LISA does get that hot, I've never heatsinked her (Fnar Fnar )

According to viddi the LISA socket may have been reworked during Production as his socket is the same.

My Indivision has the same 'chop' out of the edge of the socket as your's & viddi's. I guess it's 'normal'.

I can imagine Jens thinking:

lmfao, nothing wrong with a bit of hot glue. Its never given me any probpems before, plus, if you need it pulling off in the future, it just breaks off in 1 go. You wouldnt even know it had been there, .

I suppose its up to the person doing it. As I have had no problems with hot glue in the past, doesnt me other havent had problems.

Charlies idea sounds interesting though, .

What about bathroom sealent, I would push that to "no more nails" but you might want to get the thing off in the future, . Ive never tried either off these, maybe someone else has?

Just had another thought, how about a piece of rubber. Maybe construct it as a type of leg, which could be attached to the back of keyboard and when keyboard is in place it would then push against the Indivision board to stop it comming off.

Would have to be a tough piece of rubber though. Or maybe something else with no conductive properties ofcourse.

Cheers for the ideas FOL, The Rubber idea is interesting but Would need to apply pressure to the indivision at a purpendicular angle else you run the risk of popping it off, also heavy handed keyboard vibrations may upset it.

I think I need to find some of Charlie's Glue spots.

I was just thinking out there. Maybe attach it to the top of case. Thats maybe another possiblity.
