How do i convert IFF to lovely Amiga icons?
Dont tell me IFF2icon i tried it it won't work. Perhaps on my PC? with Paintshop? |

Try Irfanview. It's the best graphic viewer actually for PC (even better ACDSee!|), it's free, and you can simply load all your .IFF amiga files then save in .ICO format. Easy, huh?

Hmm .Ico files are windows icon files but he's trying to produce amiga icons I think. In any case, there's a tool named ico2info that'll do the trick. Also I have a photoshop plugin somewhere that can produce ico files from any image but I'm not sure if it's legal to distribute (or keep ha!) it.

You can use PPaint (free from aminet) and the icon plugin which creates old, NewIcons and OS 3.5 icons.

Thanks very much for your replies. I want to create an Amiga icon set from various icon sets that i have stored on my PC (Mac icons, etc).
All icons are in ico format and i also have a lot in IFF format which i can easily convert to .ico with Irfanview (i have the program installed) I 'll give a try to Ico2info also to the Paintshop (with a plugin maybe?) I want to use the icons with the Amiga OS 3.1 |
