icon maker?

I'm looking for a shell based tool or combination of tools that can convert image files to icons, including setting the alternate image. I've trawled through Aminet and the closest I've found is Image2Icon: it's very good, but it only does the main image not the highlight image.

Any suggestions? Ta

One method would be to use Image2Icon for both images, then use OS3.9 IconEdit to merge them together.

@Minuous can you do that via Arexx or some other automated means?

Something like this:

Code:

newicon type project newicon1 work:pictures/image1.iff newicon2 work:pictures/image2.iff to ram:my_project

Will create ram:my_project.info from work:pictures/image1.iff and image2.iff.

Note that it needs newicon.library to do this.

Probably not; I doubt IconEdit has an ARexx port.
