C64 Power Supply group buy
Hi all,
I was able to get a quote for C64 power supplys, specs are 110/220v ac input and outputs 9v AC (1amp) and 5v DC (2 amp) combined power supply. Price would be ~$19 dependent on interest, Is anyone interested ? |

Sorry for OT! Is there any chance to get C128 power supply from there?

I think the Amiga has the same type of plug as the C128. From what i have read 2amps on the 5v rail should be good for a C128, newer circuits/components are a lot better than the older ones that generate a lot of unwanted heat and wasted power. You can find an old dead amiga psu and grab the connector off that |

Any specifications? What about stability of 9v AC and 5v DC lines comparing to original C64 power supply?

You can expect big interest for that PSU if it will be properly made.

I'm also interested, but would like to hear some more details, eg. what it looks like and so on.

I'm thinking of buying it too. I'll probably sacrifice one of my Amiga PSU. Probably will find some information about C128 PSU but have to find someone skilled locally who would swap the plug for me.
Based on information from here I'm also interested. Last edited by springycz; 04 March 2014 at 15:20. |

Interested as well... There has been lots of discussions regarding power supplies at lemon64.
I suppose almost everyone who has a C64/128 setup would be interested in replacing the old PSU. |

I have 2 samples that are being sent to me so i will be able to have more info once i receive them. From what i have read, the problem withthe original power supplies was the voltage regulators shorting out and dumping full current into the C64s. I think the newer components of today are better designed

So is this two power supplies in one? Or two separate power supplies with one cord?
I might be interested, pending your receiving of demo units and photos. |
