Managed to assemble my updated kit yesterday,.. Mayhap it is just my general inexperience with SMD's, shaky hands or rather painful inflammation of wrist in my main hand, but when I connected the finished pad to my CD32, it would not even start. No smoke, no flames, and the machine still works fine afterwards with a regular joystick.
Troubleshooting ahoy! I'm dubious about the cable connections, for one thing, I think I have them correctly connected... Maybe. Shorted joints on the main chip, shall check... Someone with more knowledge about the inner workings of an Atari DB9 joysticks, what could cause the actual console to not start? |

I have tested my controller on a 1200 and it's perfect. Don't you hate when the original CD32 controller "pad" rotates and you lose a life? cannot happen there.
The only issue is that I don't dare using it too much, don't want to wear it off |

I assembled one of my two pads this evening and tested it out on one of my A500's since it was setup and ready to use. WOW!!! This is one fantastic pad! I love the feel of it. Great work my friend!

Hi,
I received mine + 2 kits yesterday, it is great. Up to now, I tried it only with 2 buttons on my Vampirized A600, it seems OK. Thanks |

Forget what I said earlier about not being able to get it to work as a 2 button pad. I was using a port saver lead and just realised it's not fully wired - it works perfectly directly connected to my A4000
