ah, cool I'm having my A1200 out and about sometime today anyway so I'll give it a try and tell you what I experience.

*EDIT* I looked in my Battlehawks directory and found both slaves present, so I switched the fast one with the slow one and voila, the game runs at perfect speed on my A1200 (with a 030 at 40MHz)

Use expchip option. The game will only use chipmem (if you have enough).

Psygore, it couldn't be renamed to girl-mode could it?

I'm joking!

Cool, I'll give it a try next time I use my Miggy.... hopefully soon Thanks!!

*EDIT* I tried both adding ExpChip and ExpChip/S as tooltype, none of them had any effect btw, the computer is an A1200 with 2 mb chip and 32 mb fast mem... when WB is loaded I have about 1.7 mb chip mem left, that ought to be enough, right ??

an update with my WHDLoad version of Battlehawks 1942... it now plays wonderful speed wise, but when I complete a mission (or end it) by pressing the q key, the game stalls with a black screen I have left it for 30 seconds only, but this is much more time than it needed way back when I played it on the A500 from floppies.... I hope KG's version won't have this flaw!!!
