A few people have....
mentioned me redoing the ADF version (which I will) so give it some time so that TR Schimdt can confirm its ok, then I will re-release a new ADF version instead of The Company version.
As long as the trainer options are not too hard, I will do it for WHDLoad version. |

Mmh. Saving first works, but a bit later not, again. Maybe the Disk is swapped again, when I pass the protection-point ?

The ADF version wont be anywhere near as tricky as the WHDLoad version |

I tested again: it seems to happen after Fluffy opens the door b(by pushing a button) containing the cup (under the cave with the fire blowing wind).
I tried to include a pic, let´s see it it works |

...or maybe not
I tried again, this time it happens anywhere. I may load, but if I try to save, it swaps disk again. Arghl. |

Exile.... now it bloody works!
Ok gents, please try this WHDLOAD install again.
I made an assumption, I assumed that the game generically used the same code for load/save..... I was wrong! I was in totally the wrong routine, now its properly patched, and you should find that the game will correctly swap the disk no matter what you bloody do So.... playtest away and let me know..... for gods sake, make it good news!! |

Exile 100% in the Zone
Ok people...
Exile 100%, both Copylocks removed and the code check is removed as well. I haven't put my own intro on the disk, so therefore I won't have introduced any more bugs into the game If all is well (as it should be), then I am sure someone knows what to do to get it TOSEC'd, as frankly, The Company version is a waste of time. Let me know what you think. |

Whoops! Hehe ...
Well, reading it the second time, I admit it's actually enigmatic. It could really have been meant that way that Galahad still had a bone to pick with the cracker, not the game author! Last edited by andreas; 29 July 2002 at 20:48. |

Did anybody else test the WHD-load-slave ?
It worked real fine a long while, but later on I (again) had trouble while saving (it even showed me a new entry, but didn´t really save). And I´m a bit frustrated, replaying it for 5 times :/ Or should I prefer the ADF-Version ? |

Any other problems...
...with Exile is to do with Exile I'm afraid!
There is NO more copy protection left on the game, so any other bugs are programming 'features' by the original author I'm afraid. The ADF version I did should operate EXACTLY the same. |

Ive put a copy of Exile into the zone. Does it have the same problems as all the others? (dodgy collisions detection etc..)
It was cracked / crunched by my mate and I remember that at the time he said he actually got some source code to exile from a friend at universisty who knew the programmer.... I also remember him explaining to me at the time on how the game draws the screen in a really complicated way but I cant remember what he said.. Ive emailed him and am waiting for a reply so I will keep you posted. |

My version
Doesn't have any cracking errors, and no it doesn't have dodgy collision detection (side effect of second Copylock protection failing)
All other cracked versions missed second protection check, but got the first and the doc check. Something else as well. If there was another Copylock in the game, then it would exit on WHDLoad as it uses the ILLEGAL instruction. Whether or not the ADF version would react differently as WHDLoad has no active part in that, I don't know. WHDload isn't perfect, but relatively few games fail with it.
