Aiab Slow

Hi

AIAB is real slow in displaying icons I have my CPU slider set to 3 because anything lower crashes games. Setting the slider to 1 improves speed significantly. I upgraded my CPu from a 1000mhz Duron to an 1800+ Athlon xp but this gave me no improvement.. surely a amiga 1200 would display icons faster than this when running this software..

Under CPU, try using "Fastest Possible, but maintain chipset timing" option. I never use the CPU slider.

Also I have not had any problems with winuae while having Norton AntiVirus and Norton Personal Firewall 2002 enabled.

I must agree this should have nothing to do with the speed problems.

An Athlon XP 1800 Should be running this fine ?? What Operating system are you running ??

Also I would check the SYSTEM CONFIGURATION UTILITY and see what and exactly how much you have running is your startup

Maybe you should register with the board then you would be able to Upload the config you are using to the Zone so we could check it out

AIAB was made when 0.8.17 or even earlier was new. Using those config files with 0.8.21 or later usualy disables JIT buffer. Enable JIT and WinUAE will fly.
