Which game? (Sound clip only)
I know it's hard, but try not to read the post directly below this one until the clip has been played
I woke up with a tune in my head and instantly knew it was from a game, 99% sure it's an Amiga game, and I think it's (NAME REMOVED, placebo type effect might occur) but I could not verify it (didn't hear the tune). I played what I could remember on the keyboard and uploaded it to the web. So, here's the clip: http://members.ii.net/~trebs/Sound%20clip%2002.wav Last edited by MickJT; 28 June 2008 at 19:25. |

Exactly, but where, which level, etc.. I only just recently thought it might be Alfred Chicken, after about 12 hours of thinking it over what it might be, then it just clicked, but I can't verify it.
Edit: What I did before I posted, was went through this to verify: [ Show youtube player ] but no results. Unless I missed it. |

Surely you can do better than that, Angus? Thanks to TheCyberDruid. Just watched levels 3 & 4 on YouTube too and didn't hear it, probably because they go through it too quick.
I'm at 1:16 on the .mod and haven't heard it yet. Might be level 1 music? 1:40... not heard it yet. 2:22 (end of song)... Nope, not there. Remains unconfirmed.. Level 1 music please! |

Then where, my friend? I just don't hear it.
Edit: Listening 2nd time now... Edit2: Remains unconfirmed. The piece of music I recorded is NOT in the title music. Level 1 music please! |

Dammit now I have to play it? Heh. OK, i'll get out the game..
Edit: One moment.. Edit2: Emulation playing up, can't get the options screen.. Continuing to try. Edit3: Definitely not title screen. Stop giving me inaccurate information Retro-Nerd Playing "music 4" from the Options screen now, that's level 1. Will update when song finished. ... and not level 1 music either. Remains unconfirmed. Edit4: Now listened to all tracks. Not in there. If you think it's still Alfred Chicken you better have some hard evidence to back it up, with specific details. Hi MickJT,
I've uploaded all mods I have from Alfred Chicken to the zone, so you don't have to play through the whole game to check them Edit : Maybe it's 'alfredingame1.mod' in my pack? Last edited by TCD; 28 June 2008 at 19:11. |

Well, your piano play sounds like the title screen music for me. If not, it's a completely different game you meant.

I already listened to all the music though, you can pick 10 tracks in the options menu. It's just not there.
So, tell me where and then i'll believe you. Edit: Retro-Nerd, did you listen to the title music that's in "The Zone"? It doesn't like anything like what I played. Edit2: CyberDruid, ingame2 from your pack, fits so well to what I played, but still isn't there Not in ingame1, title, radio, meka1, credit, bonus or endgame either.. and I didn't dream it up, it's definitely a tune from somewhere. I think by mentioning the game, it's been ingrained into your subconscious minds because it simply just fits well. One of those things. Last edited by MickJT; 28 June 2008 at 19:18. |

Then it's a completely different game. Yes, i have all Alfred Chicken musics and your piano play sounds very similiar to this title screen music. Ok, i'm off now. Good luck in finding the right tune.

Well, bed time.. Perhaps someone can help me out while i'm asleep. If it is from AC, then provide exact details because I can't find it, neither on YouTube vids, in actual game play, options menu, nor mod files.

Nah it's not that. It might not even be Amiga, but I have a strong feeling it is, and it still seems to fit well with Alfred Chicken, despite the fact it can't possibly be (or can it? diff system version?).
I thought it might be from some Pinball game, so I watched a vid of Party Land from Pinball Fantasies, but wasn't that either (I know the title screen song in full by memory so I didn't need to listen to it, and I know the tone of the other tables). |

Sounds like some old Victorian style tune. Don't know what game it's from, but I hope my observation helps jog your memory.
