Nope, AmiMSX has still some emulation troubles. Space Manbow runs indeed like a slideshow on a 68030 CPU.

If only I could code, it's a real curse to be unable to create any bit of coding ! I would enjoy so much to participate to Cammy's game contest, I would go for sure to make some MSX game adaptation for our beloved lady (the Amiga heh !)...

@Juan : By the way, how is your project going ?

Okay, I didn't try this one on AmiMSX cause I don't like it that much, a friend showed it to me many years ago on his TurboR and... mmm.. still prefered Aleste 2 or Salamander.

Salamander? Well, this one is way too jerky. Just like Gradius or Nemesis. It's better to play the PC-Engine ports or the Salamander/Gradius Deluxe packs on PSX/Saturn. The MSX/MSX2 sadly had no hardware scrolling support.

Not on a technical side, of course, and especially on the MSX 1. MSX2 has hardware scrolling support, but only vertically. Anyway, Salamander is very intense, particularly if played in two player mode with a friend. It has some very good BGM since the cartridge had a SCC chip (5 more audio channels for a total of 8), and the weapon system is awesome. Honestly, don't be repulsed by it's jerky side and outdated look by today or even Amiga standart, just try it with a friend, I think you will be quite surprised if you give it a try.

I need a smooth scrolling, if i play horizontal scrolling action games. Even the C64 Konami ports of Salamander/Nemesis were better in this categorie (thanks to the hw scrolling). The Space Manbow programmer did a good job.

Well, vertical shooter like Aleste 2 are still pretty good on the MSX 2. Compile were gods.

More good Konami Games.

there is a new incredible knightmare, faithfull to the original with updated graphics, it's one level for now, and i hope the team responsible will complete it; it also has some good special effects.
If you never played knightmare, this is the perfect way to start!

I tried to learn how to code some years ago, but I couldn't make it, obviously my brain is not hardwired to understand computer programing !
Anyway, I have downloaded Reality, so I hope it could help me to create something.

Vampire Killer
Metal Gear Solid 2

but this was 8bit platform so port probably would be mediocre.

That demo is great but it has been released at Breakpoint 2009 so it's not exactly new.
