SuperTed 2.6
Found this picture of the upcoming SuperTED 2.6 at Leading Edge's old website. What a shame it was never released.

Yep. Real pity. It looks a lot more usable and modular than the old Ted. I wonder if source is available so someone can finish it and release it...

Have you tried the AmiBlitz editor, PEd? It's a huge improvement over the old Ted. Not fully sure if it can be used as a drop-in replacement for Ted, but it's open source so it might be possible to adapt it if it doesn't.

Yes, but not even PED is window-oriented, at least not in the AmiBlitz 2 version, which is as far as I've dared to venture into AmiBlitz land.
The source for Blitz is available for download, including SuperTED, but I don't know what version(s) that would be. |

PED for AmiBlitz 3 is windowed, with hotkeys to apply different snapshotted window layouts. It also includes much improved syntax highlighting, a struct/newtype browser window which is super useful as it covers system structs as well as your own, and a library/instruction browser. It really is a massive improvement! I'll try it with Blitz 2 when I'm home tonight and see if it works...
Edit: Screenshot to give you an idea of PED 3 |

Just a quick updated: Tried substituting PED 3 in instead of TED and it crashed badly... So not doable without some work.

PED also requires FPU, which makes it unusable on many configurations.
